About the Role

Pacific Heating & Cooling is seeking a Recruiter / HR Administrator to support our growing residential home services organization. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in recruiting who is excited to expand into broader Human Resources while contributing to a consistent, professional employee experience.

In this role, recruiting will be your primary focus, owning full-cycle hiring across our field and office teams. You will also gain hands-on exposure to HR operations, onboarding, and internal processes that support the full employee lifecycle. This position offers a strong opportunity to grow your HR skill set while helping ensure new hires and employees experience the standards, communication, and professionalism that define Pacific.

What you’ll get to do:

As a Recruiter / HR Administrator, you will play a key role in building and supporting our growing team. With recruiting as your core responsibility, you’ll manage full-cycle hiring across both field and office roles while partnering closely with hiring managers to understand business needs and deliver a strong, consistent candidate experience.

Beyond recruiting, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to the broader HR function, supporting onboarding, HR administration, and compliance processes. You’ll help ensure new hires are set up for success through a clear, organized onboarding experience that reflects Pacific’s standards and approach.

Working alongside HR leadership, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities over time, building a well-rounded understanding of the full employee lifecycle. You’ll also support efforts that reinforce a consistent, professional experience for employees, from first interaction through onboarding and beyond.

This role contributes to both the day-to-day execution of hiring and the long-term strength of our team, helping Pacific Heating & Cooling continue to attract, onboard, and support high-quality talent as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle recruiting for a variety of field and office positions, from job posting through offer and onboarding
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, role requirements, and hiring timelines
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates while delivering a professional and positive candidate experience
  • Maintain job postings, candidate pipelines, and recruiting activity across platforms such as Indeed and LinkedIn
  • Coordinate interviews, offers, and pre employment steps in collaboration with hiring managers and HR
  • Maintain accurate recruiting and onboarding records in accordance with company policy and privacy standards
  • Support new hire onboarding by assisting with documentation, orientation processes, benefits administration, and compliance requirements
  • Serve as an administrative support partner to the HR team, including maintaining confidential employee records
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to ensure recruiting and onboarding practices align with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Respond to basic employee questions related to policies, processes, and HR programs
  • Support continuous improvement of recruiting and HR processes as the organization evolves

 

Additional Responsibilities (Culture & Employee Experience)

  • Support the consistency of Pacific Heating & Cooling’s employer brand across recruiting, onboarding, and internal communications
  • Assist in delivering a structured and engaging new hire onboarding experience that reflects company values and service standards
  • Help coordinate internal events and employee engagement initiatives, including team celebrations and seasonal activities
  • Partner with leadership to reinforce a positive, professional, and customer-focused culture throughout the employee lifecycle

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • 2–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Strong sourcing skills, including job boards, referrals, LinkedIn, and direct outreach
  • Experience conducting structured, behavioral-based interviews
  • Experience managing offers and supporting offer negotiations
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Knowledge of fair hiring practices, EEO compliance, and employment laws (or eagerness to learn)
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort partnering with leaders across departments
  • Interest in expanding into broader HR responsibilities and learning the full employee lifecycle

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent college coursework with relevant recruiting experience also considered. Practical recruitment or HR experience may substitute for formal education.

 

Preferred:
  • Recruiting experience in home services, skilled trades, construction, or service-based industries.
  • Experience in high-volume or hard-to-fill recruiting environments
  • Familiarity with hiring for field technicians and support teams

Compensation & Benefits

Pay:

$23.00 – $30.00 per hour
